Advising Generation Z Names 2021 Board


Advising Generation Z recently elected its slate of 2021 board of directors. Welcoming Rianne Derr, Tomeka Fortune, Kem Grant, Shashi Kaligotla, Cal Quigley, and Garwin Feggings to assist Millennial CEO Kristen Geez, radically rethink innovative ways to provide mentoring and professional development to Gen Z and Millennial audiences.


About AGZ

Advising Generation Z was created to support, equip and empower young people ages 10-39 to become the best versions of themselves; we provide group mentoring, school assemblies, professional development, and digital and distance learning opportunities in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. With AGZ's new board's help, the organization aims to provide mentoring and professional development to 15,000 people across the county by 2025. Click here to support AGZ programs.

Rianne Derr, MBA, MSN, RN, CNML

Rianne graduated with a Masters in Nursing Leadership and a Masters in Business Association. Healthcare Management was the natural next step towards achieving her goal. Rianne Derr has been a CPR instructor for many years and loves to help teach and mentor young minds towards achieving all of their goals. Her motto is “Never let someone tell you that you can’t achieve something that you’re setting your mind to.”








Tomeka Fortune, MS, PHR

HR Business Partner

at Nissan Motor Corporation


Tomeka holds a Bachelor’s of Arts and Sciences Degree in Communications from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources and Training and Development. Tomeka has a background in training and development as well as human resources operations.












Kem Grant

Business Development Specialist

Tarrant County College


Kem holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Texas Women University. Kem has spent over 20 years in the finance and banking industry. Her career consists of SBA, managing some of the largest global banks in the world. She acted as branch manager, business banker, loan officer, and CRA lender, helping businesses of many sizes, from small micro startups to multimillion-dollar companies with their financing needs.




Shashi Kaligotla

Specialist Executive

Shashi did his MBA from the University of South Florida and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He is a sought-after technologist for speaking at international conferences. Shashi is the founder of a startup that Polycom acquired.



Garwin Feggings

Garwin has over 15 years in Talent Acquisitions, Diversity Consulting, and Human Resources experience with major companies. Garwin has a successful track record with Talent Management and Diversity Recruiting methods that meet and exceed recruiting goals while also mentoring staff to improve customer satisfaction.





Cal Quigley IV

Adjunct Professor & Career Advisor

Tarrant County College


Professor Quigley received his B.S. in Information Technology while serving in the United States Air Force (National Louis University), M.B.A in finance from Texas Christian University, and Ed.D. in College Education (2023) from the University of North Texas. Mr. Quigley has held numerous positions from a consultant for The Dept. of Homeland Security in Washington, DC, CEO of a logistics company in Arlington, and serving as the director of operations for several retired NFL players’ foundations and for-profit companies.
